On March 3, 2023, our officers observed a Chevrolet Tahoe traveling at a high rate of speed, at night, without headlights on Springs Rd. When the driver of the Tahoe passed our officers while making eye contact, she accelerated, crossed over the double yellow lines in the road, and failed to stop at a red light.
Our officers activated their overhead emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop on the Tahoe. The driver refused to pull over, which resulted in a pursuit. The driver lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a pole and a parked car.
The driver attempted to run away from the scene. Our officers chased the driver and arrested her after a short foot pursuit.
Our officers searched the female's vehicle and located an unregistered, loaded firearm. The driver's record revealed she was a convicted felon with three outstanding felony warrants for her arrest, including a parole violation.
The female was booked into the county jail, and her vehicle was towed from the scene.
