On March 18, 2023, the Vallejo Police Department received a call that multiple people were burglarizing a closed business on the 2100 block of Springs Rd.
When our officers arrived at the scene, they observed people entering a black Infiniti FX35 parked in front of the business's entrance. The Infiniti quickly exited the parking lot when they saw our officers.
A short pursuit occurred before the driver lost control of his vehicle, and the car collided with a fence. Three adult males exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
The three males ran towards I80 to evade capture. Two males ran across I80 and were arrested on the other side of the highway by responding officers. Our officers arrested the third male when he tripped while running to the I80 onramp. One adult male stayed inside the car and surrendered to our officers.
The business manager told our officers the thieves caused over $4000 in damages to his building, and the stolen merchandise was valued at more than $12,000. Our officers searched the Infiniti and located all the stolen merchandise in the trunk. The manager took possession of all the stolen merchandise.
The arrested males were transported to a local hospital for medical clearance for incarceration due to the vehicle collision. Then they were all transported to jail, and their vehicle was towed from the scene.
