On March 27, 2023, our officers were investigating a report of gunshots in the area of Sereno Dr. and Fairgrounds Dr. During this investigation, an adult male contacted one of our officers at the scene and stated a male with a gun just robbed him for his property.
The victim gave our officers an excellent description of the suspect and his gun. Our officers conducted an area check and detained a male who matched the description given by the victim. A records check revealed that the male was on probation for possessing a firearm and had a warrant for his arrest.
Our officers searched the detained male and located the victim’s property. Our officers found a firearm without a serial number behind a bush near the detained male. The firearm also matched the description given by the victim.
The victim confirmed to our officers that the detained male was the male who robbed him. The victim received all his stolen property at the scene.
The detained male was arrested and booked into the local jail.
