Police were behind a stolen car at Fairgrounds & HW 37. The car took off going the wrong way on HW 37 on the shoulder so VPD cancelled the chase for public safety. 9EWN147 was the plate on the white KIA.
Oooh wait. VPD was trying to not tell us everything.
They came back on stating they hopped the fence outside of the car. So they did ditch the car and ran.
VPD called the owner to come get their car.
