Around 1:50AM after there were a few small sideshows around town, VPD noticed someone in a KIA recklessly driving in a lot by Food Maxx. When the police approached theh driver took off and immediately crashed. After about 5 mins of chasing an officer tried to pit maneuver the car near Lake Herman rd but was not successful. The KIA got up to about 90MPH down columbus and then got on to i-80 EB.   CHP took over around Travis Blvd at 110mph.   The VPD officer was called back to town. CHP was able to get the vehicle to pull over at Cherry Glen Rd. and arrested the driver.  The Kia was stolen.
